Father Knows Best #7: You’re Enough Because He Says So

Dear Daughter,

I’ve watched you push yourself to exhaustion trying to measure up. You don't need to measure up, not to society, not to other's expectations.

I’ve seen you bend over backward to please people who never learned how to appreciate you. Know this my Daughter, they never will appreciate you.

They will try to keep you down and not have you or help you step into your potential. You can step into your potential by knowing a few things.

Here’s what I need you to know:

Your value was never up for negotiation.

You don’t have to earn your worth — it’s already been decided by the One who made you.

When God calls you His, nothing and no one can take that title away.

You’re not “almost enough” or “getting there.”

You’re already enough, right now, as you are.

This isn’t permission to stop growing — it’s freedom to stop proving.

Because growth comes from love, not fear.

So the next time someone makes you feel small, remember this:

They didn’t give you your worth, so they don’t get to take it away.

Thank You for creating my daughter as Your masterpiece.

Silence the voices that tell her she’s not enough.

Fill her with the confidence of knowing she was made in Your image, for Your purpose, and by Your design.

Let her walk boldly in the truth that she is already loved, already chosen, and already enough — because You say so.

“I am enough — because God says so.”

Then write down three ways you’ve been trying to “earn” your worth, and pray over each one, asking God to replace striving with peace.

💬 Personal Insight from Me

My dad never let me forget that I was valuable before I did a single thing to “prove” it. With his quite approval, I could just look and see his acceptance of me and the things that I did. As I look back on my daddy's actions, I know he was proud of the person that I turned out to be. Coaching me through my mistakes, he still looked at me with pride, which gave me confidence. Some may say a whole lot of confidence. :)

That kind of confidence changes how you move in the world — it removes the weight of other people’s approval. I want to share with you the confidence my daddy gave me! Your worth is not wrapped up in people. Your worth is wrapped up in the God in heaven, that made you! You are unique and deserving of who you want to be!

Other people's negativity in not a calling you should entertain. That negativity was not made for you. That is their problem(s), NOT YOURS.

And now, I’m telling you: you don’t have to do more, be more, or achieve more to be enough. YOU WERE ALREADY MADE TO BE ENOUGH! What you do with your ENOUGH is up to you. I am here to help you walk the journey of discovering who you really are.
