Dear Daughter,
Before the world gave you labels…
Before they called you too quiet or too loud, too strong or not enough…
Before culture tried to define your worth by status, salary, size, or skin…
God already called you His.
And that’s the only identity that can’t be shaken.
Today, we return to that truth.
One of the first things I ever taught you was this: Know who you are before the world defines you.
Because once you know who you are — really know it deep in your soul — no lie, label, or limitation can stick.
Your identity was never meant to be built on opinions.
It’s built on truth.
And the truth is: You are a child of the Most High God. His favorite CHILD!
Before you were anything else, you were His.
Not because of what you’ve done — but because of who He is.
So here’s a reminder from your dad:
“Daughter, don’t let the world rename what God already called holy.” YOU ARE PRECIOUS in HIS EYES!
When life shakes you, return to your foundation.
You’re not what you’ve been through.
You’re not what they said.
You’re not even the mistakes you made.
You are loved.
You are chosen.
You are known.
And you are enough.
📖 Scriptural Anchor
“Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I set you apart.”
— Jeremiah 1:5 (NIV)
Heavenly Father,
Thank You for giving my daughter her true name.
Remind her today that she is not her past, her pain, or anyone else's opinion.
Let her stand firm in her divine identity — grounded in You.
When the world gets loud, let Your truth speak louder.
Help her walk as the daughter You created her to be — confident, loved, and set apart.
In Jesus’ name,
Amen.
✍️ From a Father’s heart to yours,
Bro. Percy
🪞 Reflection Prompt: Identity Check
Ask yourself this week:
What names or labels have I accepted that God never gave me?
Where have I let fear or rejection define me?
Then, write one sentence that declares the truth:
“I am ____________ because God says I am.”
Repeat it daily.
💬 Personal Insight from me
When I joined the military, people called me “Ms. Percy” because of my character, not just my name. That wasn’t just respect — it was identity. It reminded me that even in unfamiliar spaces, I carried my father’s voice and God’s truth with me.
And so do you.
You don’t have to fight to prove who you are — just remember. Because you remember, you will live in that mental space and who you defined yourself to be will show on the outside.
